The data controller is Scuola sci San Domenico, VAT no. 01478930033, registered at Frazione San Domenico, 28868 Varzo (VB), Italy (“San Domenico Ski & Snowboard School”). For any request about your personal data you can write to info@scuolascisandomenico.it.

Through the lesson booking and equipment rental forms we collect the data you provide directly: first and last name, email address, phone number, city, date and time of the activity or pick-up, type of activity (ski, snowboard), level, duration, any notes and, for rentals, height, weight and shoe size. Data relating to minors may be provided by the person holding parental responsibility. We also collect technical browsing data (IP address, browser, pages visited) through the cookies described below.

• Managing booking and rental requests and communicating with you (pre-contractual measures and performance of a contract, art. 6.1.b GDPR).
• Complying with legal obligations, such as tax and accounting rules (art. 6.1.c GDPR).
• Keeping the site secure and analysing its use in aggregate form (legitimate interest or consent, art. 6.1.f and 6.1.a GDPR).

Providing the data requested in the forms is necessary to handle your request; without it we cannot process it. We do not use your data for automated decisions or for marketing without your consent.

Data is processed by authorised staff and by providers acting as data processors: Supabase (storage of request data), Mailjet (sending confirmation and notification emails), Netlify (hosting of the site and functions), DatoCMS (content management), Google (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, only with consent) and Sentry (error monitoring). Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, with appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Data from booking and rental requests is kept for as long as needed to handle them and afterwards for the period required by law or to protect our rights, generally no longer than 24 months after the relevant ski season unless the law requires otherwise. Browsing data is kept for the lifetime of the relevant cookies.

The site uses technical cookies needed for it to work (for example to remember your chosen language, the i18n_redirected cookie), which do not require consent. With your consent, given through the cookie banner, it also uses Google Analytics 4 (possibly through Google Tag Manager) to measure page views and user actions on the site in statistical form; Google may set its own cookies (e.g. _ga) and process data outside the European Economic Area. Until you accept, no analytics script is loaded and no data is sent to Google. We will ask for your choice again after about 6 months. You can decline analytics cookies and change or withdraw your choice at any time from “Manage cookies” in the site footer, as well as from your browser settings. The Google Maps embedded on the site are loaded only after you click “Show map”, because Google may set third-party cookies. Until then no data is sent to Google.

Under arts. 15-22 GDPR you can request access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of or objection to processing, and data portability, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Write to info@scuolascisandomenico.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
